Of course, Yellowstone Park which encompasses part of Wyoming is often all many anglers think about when they think of the state's trout fishing but that is mistake because the state has many other less noted but great trout streams. These include the Green River, the Madison, the Snake, the North Platte and streams in the Wind River Range. The noted Yellowstone River, it's tribs and the streams in the park offer world class trout fishing.

The Upper Green River is especially underfished compared to the area below Flaming Gorge Reserivour. It pays to get a topo map or some of the fly shops may give you break and tell you where the locals fish. Unfortuantely, many just wish to guide you on the noted waters where they work.
