Texas Freshwater Fishing
The state of Texas has a tremendous variety of freshwater fishing for species such as largemouth, smallmouth,
spotted and Guadalupe bass. Also, white bass, yellow bass and striped bass are found just about everywhere in the
state. Five major species of catfish inhabit the waters including Channel, Blue, Flathead and Yellow and Black
Bullheads

Panfish including black and white crappie, sunfish, bream, pumpkinseeds, bluegills, and warmouths
are in great quantity throughout the state. Pickerel and walleye are also found in some areas and even a few
rainbow trout below tailraces in the state.
