Mississippi Freshwater Fishing
Mississippi has year around fishing for most species due to the moderate climate. The state has over 175 species
of freshwater fish. The most popular species are the largemouth bass, channel catfish, smallmouth bass, striped
bass, crappie, blue catfish, flathead catfish and bream (photo below shows Channel Catfish, a popular game fish in
the state).
