Chesapeake Bay Fishing
The Bay offers great fishng for many species including stripers
(rockfish), bluefish, weakfish (speckled trout), drum, and flounder just to name a few. You can fish from shore,
pier, charter or surf fish depending upon your pleasure.

Most bay fishermen understand how the tides affect the bay and how each species responds to
changing environmental conditions. Both Maryland and Viginia have different regulations so click on the links below

One of the easiest ways to get started in Bay Fishing is at the pier or bridge fishing. You need a
stout rod and heavy reel with heavy line so get don't fish it with anything week. In this photo you can get an idea
of what this is like. It may look like havoc but it's rather a pleasant experience and a great amount of fun for
everyone.

The tidal areas of the bay also are great place to fish including with a fly rod. Fish move quite a
bit in these tidal areas depending upon conditons, time of day, moon phase etc. so it pays to do your homework and
